Intel R 845g Chipset Graphics Driver Software Download Install Update
I can not find a driver for my Intel G chipset for Windows 7. So what are my options? Or do I wait for a driver? I can confirm that the Driver Cindy recommends above works. I just installed in on my Dell Dimension 3, running Win7 Ultimate and it worked fine. Until then Win 7 just used a generic driver that gave only x resolution or something completley unusable like that.
I received the message "This OS is not supported" when trying the fix offered by Cindy. Does anybody have any other suggestions? I too got a message like that. I wish I knew exactly what it was, but at first it said the fix wasn't supported, or there was an error or something. But, I pushed through the error message and let it install anyway. I might have had on more step after that I forget now.
But I do know after applying the driver and restarting I think I had to restart, not sure now that it did work. Mine was a Dell Dimension PC. I can verify that on that older PC it worked as I said earlier. I looked everywhere for a solution to the Intel G running on Windows I upgraded from Window XP Home Thank you so much I hope more people find this link quicker than I did I right-clicked on the setup file in the driver folder and ran it under "compatibility" and it worked perfectly!!
I am having the same problem as CindyO. I tried loading the driver from the link Boris Lam provided Download Center , running it in compatability mode, but it did not work. However, I did find the Dell Driver listed in CindyO's 2nd post R and tried running it in compatability mode and it worked fine for me.
I am running Windows 7 on a Dell Dimension with the Intel video chip set. Now everything works fine on my display. Thanks to all for your support. OS showed me a standard VGA graphics card. All kind of messages appeared when I tried to start FreeCell, for example. I only downloaded the driver from this link: The installation required a Re-Start. So what can I say: What happens is that the Intel G chipset has not been validated to work with Windows 7. The operating systems that are compatible with that chipset are in the following link http: You can obtain drivers for the operating systems that are supported using the Intel Driver Update Utility.
